Thodoris Kontaxis, known as teokon, studied architecture in England. A coincidence a decade ago, became the occasion to begin his involvement with art and since then works of art based on engraving and street culture. The interest in materials and surfaces stems from architecture and so abstraction is the main means of expression and destruction leads to creation. In this way the work comes to life on the materials themselves that are susceptible to alteration, so that the result is the most complete. After all, for Teokon, the very surface on which he creates is the way in which meaning is transformed into art.
