Odysseas
Mourellos
Odysseas Mourellos is a painter, and a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts. As a supporter of the position that art is inherent in every human being but is inactive, he believes that art deserves his full devotion and personal passion. Deeply influenced by the expressionist movement, he creates works of art, improvising each time and motivated by his need to tell a story. In his works he meets the elements of distortion of objects of empirical reality with the element of pop aesthetics, through the use of acrylics and sprays.
The creation of works of art, in which the man himself was missing, perhaps a foretelling (?) His total destruction, is full of desert landscapes and strange undefined forms that lead through a lonely journey to the realization that life exists after human existence. This is exactly the “Ithaca” of Odysseus, Mourellos.
